      Mahindra launches new Bolero at Rs 6 lakh

      The country’s largest utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new generation version of its popular sports utility vehicle (SUV) Bolero in the Indian market on Thursday. The new Bolero model has been launched in three variants ( SLE, SLX and ZLX), unlike the previous generation Bolero, which was available in only two variants (SLE and SLX). The SUV has been rolled out in both BSII and BSIV compatible versions, offering a varying degree of options to Indian buyers.

      The all new Bolero is offered in the price range of Rs 6.19 lakh to Rs 6.96 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is about Rs 6,000 more expensive as compared to the previous generation Bolero varaints. The new features of the Bolero include digital cluster with driver information system, digital engine immobilizer, better adjustable seats, advanced digital instrumentation, new voice messaging system and new micro hybrid technology.

      Speaking to the reporters on the occasion of the launch of the vehicle, M&M President (Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors) Pawan Goenka said, "The Bolero has reigned as the highest selling UV for the last five years in a row. Powered by the refined new m2DiCR engine, the new Bolero offers great drivability and high fuel efficiency."

      The new Mahindra m2DiCR engine delivers a commendable fuel economy of 15.96 kmpl, certified by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India ).
