A special edition of the Porsche Panamera has been launched in India for Rs 1.04 crore (ex-showroom Maharashtra). Dubbed the Panamera Diesel Edition, It is the German automaker’s first launch in the sub-continent for 2016 and gets external as well as internal cosmetic elements.
Outside, this special edition gets high-glossy black trim strips on the side windows and door handles in the same colour, when equipped with the optional Porsche Entry & Drive. Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels (in Panamera Turbo II design), including wheel hub covers with a coloured Porsche crest, as well as bi-xenon headlights operating the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).
In addition, the Panamera Edition boasts bicolour part leather upholstery, sport design steering wheel and door sill guards with ‘Edition’ lettering. The standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a seven-inch touchscreen monitor combines audio, navigation and communication features.
Commenting on the launch, Pavan Shetty, director, Porsche India, said, “The Panamera Diesel Edition is a thrilling four-door sports car that provides an abundance of driving pleasure, combined with styling accents that typify this specific model from Porsche. The range of additional equipment available as standard fitment makes this premium model a truly attractive offering for our enthusiasts.”
