      Royal Enfield, the British auto maker, seems all prepared for the launch of Continental GT in the Indian auto market. interestingly, the original 250 cc version of Royal Enfield Continental GT made its appearance some fifty years back. And now, as per rife news, the auto maker is in a full swing to launch Continental GT again, but with a revamped look, much to woo customers and biker lovers in the country. Currently, Royal Enfield is manufacturing motorcycles independently in the Indian auto market with Chennai as its headquarters. The company is also involved in exports of its motorcycle to more than twenty countries all over the world.

      Notably, Indian launch of Royal Enfield Continental GT Cafe Racer is keenly followed by bike enthusiasts. It must be noted that the fan following of this bike gathered more speed after the release of a footage that screened workers assembling parts of Cafe Racer at company's newly inaugurated Oragadam manufacturing facility, near Chennai. Interestingly, recently, the fully assembled Continental GT was first exported to UK as it happens to be the biggest export market for Royal Enfield in the world. As per information from different sources, the Indian launch is likely to follow in October, 2013 in order to match-up with festive season that currently knocks the Indian market.

      Interestingly, Royal Enfield Continental GT is the first Cafe Racer bike from the firm in the last 60 years and is likely to make its niche among the lightest and most powerful motorcycles of the segment. As per statistics and reports, experts feel that sports bikes are hot favourites among the young generation buyers. It is being also said that the number of new launches in India is only going to increase in the near future. On similar grounds, there is general market notion that this bike will become a benchmark in the performance bike segment.

      The upcoming model from Royal Enfield will get its power from a single-cylinder 535 cc fuel-injected UCE engine, mated with a 5-speed manual constant mesh gearbox. The fitted engine is likely to generate an output of up to 29.1 bhp and peak torque of 44 Nm. This bike is expected to come with a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 litres. Industry experts are also expecting to see a number of other high end features like clip on handlebars and bar end mirrors, Paioli gas charged rear suspension, disc brakes (front and rear) and rear set foot pegs. Royal Enfield Continental GT is likely to be equipped with Pirelli tyres to ensure strong surface hold and enhanced safety while driving on roads and highways.

      In order to deliver maximum riding pleasure, this bike will also feature a low profile fuel tank with knee recesses along with an efficient suspension suspension system with 41 mm forks and new double cradle frame. The seat of this super bike is a single unit with two different sitting configurations, namely single and two-seater with contrast stitching. Royal Enfield Continental GT happens to be the much anticipated model after the Royal Enfield Classic Series. Though the price of this new upcoming vehicle is yet to be declared, rumours are rife that it is going to cost somewhere around Rs. 2.25 lakh - Rs. 2.75 lakh. Rumours also suggest that post its launch, the company is planning to unveil another set of motorcycle riding gear, named as 'Burn-up Wear'.
