      Ford triumphs with 'EcoSport Urban Discoveries' campaign

      Ford EcoSport, so far, has been able to create a stir in the Indian automobile market. There are many reasons that can attributed to its success. Some of them are power and performance on roads, stylish stance, space and comfort along with its high affordability. These factors have essentially attracted a mass audience towards this vehicle and also made is as one of the best selling compact SUVs in the country. In a recent interview, Vinay Piparsania, Ford India Executive Director (Marketing, Sales and Service) stated, “Despite prevailing difficult economic conditions, we are excited to see our products finding greater acceptance among customers that is mirrored in our sales.”

      This remark is purely made on the back of a 50.95 per cent surge in total sales in September 2013. Notably, this surge that the company has recently reported owes to a hefty contribution made by the newly launched compact utility vehicle EcoSport. Thriving on its success, Ford India seems to be steadily gaining more market share with a wide-spread recognizance across the country. Earlier, in order to take EcoSport to masses, the company had initiated the drive 'EcoSport Urban Discoveries' that proved to a huge successful. In a fit to expand and popularise EcoSport, Ford India had tried every bit of its witty nerves. Many simply refer this craze with 'EcoSport Urban Discoveries' that after being on high-run in various major cities across India saw its ultimate winners.

      The whole topsy-turvy cover-up of this pan Indian campaign ended with “Winning is not everything, but wanting to win is” and winners of the Urban Discoveries were Mumbai Boyz. The campaign 'EcoSport Urban Discoveries' did see a long journey ramped with full of excitements and anticipations. The quest to discover urban India in EcoSport started with 31 teams from different cities like Mumbai, Ludhiana and Ahmedabad. The participants had to travel in the vehicle with unique city-design in order to explore and bring out the best from their respective cities. During this quest, people of India, witnessed and shared hundreds of Urban Discoveries with participants. Notably, some teams stood out the testimony to show the exquisiteness of their respective place in a substantial way.

      But, all the while it was a rich experience for participants, public and of course, Ford India officials who followed all happenings minutely to check on the general reaction towards this vehicle. In the final phase, only three teams were short-listed through public voting while taking up the exciting but demanding task to explore the rich uniqueness of their allotted locations. These three teams were Ahmedabad Packers, Ludhiana Torrents and Mumbai Boyz. The final decision rested with jury, which aptly analysed the scintillating uniqueness and quality of discoveries made by all three teams and then, adjudged Mumbai Boyz as the ultimate winners.

      Here, one must note that, irrespective of who the winner was, the auto company had succeeded in its motive to make EcoSport popular among customers and car enthusiasts in India. The net result is pretty much evident and EcoSport is now one of the best compact utility vehicles in the country. Also, the EcoSport has managed to give the Renault Duster a run for its money and in some cases, outperforming it as well.
