      Reasons that keep Mahindra Scorpio locked in top spot in SUV segment

      Speaking about SUV's in the country, very few have managed to take spot of Mahindra Scorpio that has been ruling the roost for decades. Recently, the new trim of Scorpio from Mahindra has also managed to gather over 12,000 pre-orders within initial days of its inception in the market that was on 25th September this year.

      The new Mahindra Scorpio has not received any major upgrades as such, except for that fact that the vehicle has undergone the knife to receive some cosmetic upgrades that render it a bit more aggressive look than its previous sibling. The new Scorpio continues to be powered by 2.2L M-Hawk diesel engine capable of producing 120 bhp power and 290 Nm torque. The decently powered motor has been mated to a 320MT five-speed manual transmission.

      The exterior of the new Mahindra Scorpio looks sporty owing to stylish 17-inch alloys, LED daytime running lights that comes mated with redesigned rectangular headlamp. The new grills carries a bolder look. The car's bonnet comes blessed with a new hood scoop, whereas the tailgate sports black coloured plastic moulding. Taking a glimpse on the interior, the vehicle gets 6-inch touchscreen for entertainment of its occupants. The interior is spacious and carries an upmarket feel. The car also gets a rear view camera for easy parking in tough spaces.
