Modern technology has often been cursed in recent time for technical flaws and the recent huge number of recalls have only worsened the case. But this time around, a GPS device installed in a used car has come as a Saviour for a Philadelphia woman who was kidnapped from a street late in the evening.

The 22 year old victim, Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, was kidnapped from a street late evening last weekend by kidnapper, 37-year-old Delvin Barnes. Carlesha reportedly had been missing for three days with no leads in the case except of a video footage that captured the incident. It was then when, Police approached a used car dealer who had installed a GPS device in the suspect's car to make things simpler in case it needs to be repossessed. Reason for the kidnapping has not been revealed by the Police, but it is being said that the accused did not know his victim.

The Police received the whereabouts within minutes of them approaching the car dealer for details. The dealer reportedly sold cars to customers with poor credit and in case they fail on payments, it would not be hard for him to track the vehicle and know it exact location. This incident proves that Technology if used in the right direction can not just enrich lives, but also save some on its course.
