Polaris India, an off-road vehicle maker, on Friday launched its range of power sports vehicles at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The company launched 'Sportsman90' and 'RangerRZR' at the show, with a price tag of Rs 3.2 lakh and Rs 5.5 lakh, respectively.

The new power sports vehicles of the company are aimed at under-18 teenage power sports vehicle lovers in the country. With aggressive expansion of its product portfolio and dealership network in the Indian auto market, the company is aiming to reach a turnover of $ 100 million by year 2016.

Speaking to the reporters at the Auto Expo, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Polaris India Managing Director, said, "There is a great potential in the under-18 (age) category and that is the reason we have introduced these vehicles today. We are exporting these vehicles as completely built up units from the US (CBU)."

While further speaking on the dealership expansion plans, Mr. Dubey said that Polaris just entered the market four months back and are rapidly increasing their dealer network. He added that the company currently has 10 dealers and by the end of 2012, they should take the number to 25. By 2016, Polaris is looking at a turnover of $ 100 million.

The firm’s India portfolio includes a range of vehicles in different segments including snow mobiles, off-road and all-terrain vehicles. The popular products of the company in India include Polaris Ranger, Snowmobile, side-by-side vehicles, etc.
