New generation Audi Q7 promotional video released

Audi, the German luxury carmaker, recently unveiled the new generation 2015 Audi Q7 SUV. The vehicle is scheduled to make public premiere at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (Detroit Motor Show). It is expected that the next Q7 will be launched in the Indian market by in 2015. Ahead of its public debut, the company has released a small promotional video of the SUV. This video shows the SUV's exterior and interior.

The video also highlights a new 3D sound system in the 2015 Q7. The new 3D sound system will offer an excellent in-car listening experience to listeners. The new sound system has been developed by Audi for Bang & Olufsen in association with Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits in Erlangen. The system plays music through 11 different channels and 23 speakers in two stages.

The new Audi Q7 SUV is based on the second generation MLB platform, which makes it lighter. The vehicle is 325kg lighter which translates into its efficiency and performance. It is claimed to be 28 per cent (petrol) and 23 per cent (Diesel) more fuel efficient than the previous model. It is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 272bhp and 600Nm of peak torque, while the petrol unit is the 3.0L TFSI unit that is good for 333bhp and 440Nm of torque. The top-of-the-line plug-in hybrid variant delivers 368bhp and 700Nm of torque. Talking about safety features, the next Audi Q7 has rear parking aid, adjustable speed limited, Audi pre-sense city safety system, cruise control, etc.
