Launched on September 10, 2015, Mahindra TUV300 has received an overwhelming response in its very first month. The company has retailed a total of 4,313 units of the TUV300 in September, thus making it the second best-selling compact SUV in the month. Ford EcoSport’s sales, on the other hand, stood at 3,142 in the same month. The segment leader, however, has been the Hyundai Creta with over 7,300 retailed units in September. The reason behind the initial success of the Mahindra TUV300 could be its aggressive styling, impressive handling and a cabin with plenty of features.

Available in the price range of Rs. 6.90 lakh Rs. 9.12 lakh, the Mahindra TUV300 offers best-in-class boot space (384-litres), and legroom and headroom for both front and rear seat passengers. Features like Bluetooth telephony, a multi information display (MID), voice messaging system, three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, 2-DIN audio with Bluetooth connectivity, driver seat height adjuster, dual airbags, anti-lock braking system, Intellipark reverse assist, etc. are also on offer.

Powering the Mahindra TUV300 is a 1.5-litre mHawk80 turbocharged diesel engine that is equipped with the Micro hybrid technology and a start-stop system. This engine is capable to produce a maximum power of 84bhp and 230Nm of torque. Claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 18.49km/l, the TUV300 is one of the most fuel efficient cars in its segment. Transmission options on offer are a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. Besides this, Mahindra TUV300 is claimed to comply the 2017 safety norms and regulations.
