Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Japanese bikemaker who is a leading player in the two-wheeler segment has achieved a new milestone by crossing the 300-Million motorcycle production mark. To make the event memorable Honda produced the Gold Wing as its 300-Millionth motorcycle from its production line. The classic motorbike produced in Honda's Kumamoto Factory in Japan shall celebrate its 40th anniversary next year.
Speaking more on the special feat, Bob Gurga, Vice President and Manager of Motorcycle Division for American Honda, said, “This incredible milestone is the result of the millions of customers who have placed their trust in Honda and we would like to thank all of our customers, associates, dealers and community partners in North America for helping make it possible. Now, we are focused on the future and the ways that we can harness the challenging spirit of Honda associates to create new joy for Honda customers.”
Honda has stood strong in Indian market since 1960's, at that time Honda held the title of being the best-selling bike brand in the world. Honda began mass production of motorcycles in Japan back in 1949, when it first built 90cc Dream Type-D.
