To mark this special occasion in the country Honda has launched the iconic Gold Wing motorcycle in India. Honda's Gold Wing is considered to be the world's best touring motorcycle that offers a perfect combination of luxurious, powerful, balanced and fully featured machine that is ready for every journey. The 40th Anniversary Edition-Gold Wing Audio Comfort is available in Dual Tone Candy Prominence Red at a price tag of about Rs.28.50 lakhs (Ex-showroom-New Delhi), whereas, the Gold Wing Airbag trim would be available in Pearl Glare White at a price tag of about Rs.31.50 lakhs (Ex-showroom-New Delhi).

The Honda Gold Wing offered in India shall be powered by 1832cc six-cylinder engine that is fast as well as reliable. On the designing aspect the bike gets aerodynamic styling that renders touring ride quality. Neutral and responsive handling is offered by lightweight and rigid twin-spar aluminium frame, and a single-sided Pro-Arm swingarm. The bike also offers 150 Liters of luggage space. For maximum entertainment, the bike gets 6-speaker 80W SRS surround-sound system that offers superb sound presence and quality. The device is compatible with iPod, iPhone or USB stick, with multiple music file format support.
For safety, the Honda Gold Wing gets features like Combined Braking System (CBS) and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The bike also offers fully-integrated airbag (available only in Gold Wing- Airbag), which was the first of a kind ever seen on a motorbike way back in 2006. Parking in tight spaces and parking areas is also easy as the bike gets slow-speed, electric Reverse system. While riding on highways, the Lightweight electronic cruise-control system is sure to enhance the overall ride quality.
