Facelift version of Chevrolet Beat hatchback which was launched at the 12th Auto Expo earlier this month is now cheaper by Rs 14,000. Prices across the Beat trims have been revised owing to the excise duty cuts. Chevrolet Beat petrol base model (PS) is now available for Rs 3.92 lakh, which was earlier priced at Rs 4.06 lakh. Beat LS, Beat LT and Beat LT (O) trims on the other hand are now available for Rs 4.18, Rs 4.59 and Rs 5.08 respectively. Revised prices of Beat diesel are as follows, Beat PS- Rs 4.72 lakh, Beat LS-Rs 5.00 lakh, Beat LT- 5.41 lakh and Beat LT (O)- 5.89 lakh. Beat LPG which is proffered in only two trims; Beat LS and Beat LT now cost Rs 4.43 lakh and Rs 4.88 lakh respectively.
The New Beat is offered in four trims each in both petrol and diesel guise. Engine configuration remains the same for petrol and diesel variants - a 1.2 litre petrol engine and a 1.0 litre diesel motor continues to power Beat. The tweaked version comes with reworked bumpers, new rear spoiler with LED inserts, new mirrors and redesigned head lights and tail lights.
Chevrolet also launched the limited editions of Sail sedan and UV-A hatchback a few days ago. Both the cars boasts of additional features like limited edition badging, special body decals,special seat covers and pillows, chrome garnish on the boot-lid,illuminated door sills, and turn indicators on the wing mirrors.
