Audi's Indian subsidiary has announced to launch 10 new models next year in the Indian car market, of which most are expected to be all-new ones. The company is currently ruling the country’s luxury car market, and is now aiming to further consolidate its position in the country.
Yesterday, Audi India launched the much-awaited Audi A3 Cabriolet compact convertible in the country at Rs. 44.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Currently, Audi sells 17 models in the country. Speaking to media, Audi India head - Joe King said, "Next year we plan to launch around ten products in the Indian market. It is going to be an exciting and busy year for us".
The company will launch several new models and facelifts of the existing model range to retain its top position in the Indian luxury car space. The 2014 has been the company’s best year so far in India, and is now aiming to further enhance its market share in the luxury segment. Adding to it, Audi is also aiming to bring in more investments into the country.
Audi India will further expand its A3 lineup which comprises of a sedan and a convertible. The company will launch the much-awaited A3 hatchback, which is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2015. Other than these, Audi India is aiming to introduce the Q3 facelift, next-gen Q7 and new TT Coupe. The company will also unveil the next generation A4 saloon, but that is expected to come to India by early 2016 only.
