BMW, the German luxury carmaker, has revealed the facelifted BMW 6 Series range ahead of its world premier at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show next month.

The updated BMW 6-Series largely resembles the current model, however, there are subtle changes to keep things fresh. It would be difficult to find out the exterior changes as they are quite minimal. The updated model gets slightly modified front bumper and subtle updates to the kidney grille. Its updated headlamps now equips LED main beam function as standard. At the rear, the bumper too gets mild makeover. The BMW 6 Series facelift also gets new exterior metallic paints including Glacier Silver, Cashmere Silver, Mediterranean Blue and Melbourne Red.

The wheel arches have been fitted to 17- or-18-inch alloy wheels, while new multi-spoke 20-inch alloys will come as an optional feature. Inside the cabin, the vehicle gets limited changes such as dual-tone leather upholstery, head-up display technology and better quality materials.

Mechanically, the BMW 6 Series facelift remains unchanged. The vehicle gets the same twin-turbo V8 4.4-litre engine producing 560bhp and 680Nm of torque. This model accelerates to 100kmph from zero in 4.2 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph, which can be raised to 305kmph when equipped with the Optional M Driver’s package. All engines can be equipped with an xDrive all-wheel drive system.
