      Hero MotoCorp has sold around 2 lakh two-wheelers in the markets outside India. The company has registered a 30 per cent growth selling over 201245 units in 2014. In comparison, the number of units sold in 2013 were 135184 units. Ever since Hero ended its alliance with Honda, the Gurgaon based manufacturer has been focusing on the international market. Hero MotoCorp has big plans for future as the company plans to work in over 50 countries by the year 2020. Hero MotoCorp has a production level of 6.65 million units as of now and the company intends to increase its target. It plans to sell over 10 per cent of its 12 million units in the international market by 2020.

      Hero MotoCorp vehicles is selling in large numbers in Sri Lanka followed by Bangladesh and Latin America. Its products are also being sold in Egypt, Turkey, South America, Nepal, Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Peru, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Ivory Coast. Some of the markets of the above listed countries get these two wheelers as a completely built up units, while some of these have their own assembly units. Hero MotoCorp is adopting an aggressive marketing strategy and is working on building its own manufacturing facilities in countries like Bangladesh and Columbia.

      It must be noted that the auto manufacturer has grand plans for the domestic market too and will come up with new products in coming days. This is likely to help it capture a share of the market and make its presence felt in the competitive Indian auto market too.
