By touching a top speed mark of 435.31 kmph, HennesseyVenom GT has set a new speed record. The two-seater sports car was tested for speed at the NASA’s Kennedy Space Center last month. Now that Hennessey Venom GT has successfully acquired record of being the fastest two-seater sports car, the company has proclaimed its launch.
World’s Fastest Edition, Hennessey Venom GT will be proffered in distinctive colour scheme featuring red and blue colour stripes on white background. The special colour scheme is inspired from America’s flag. Company has confined the production to just three units which have already been sold. It is definitely a treat for speed lovers who can feel the adrenaline rush by sitting behind steering wheel of this beast. However they will have to pay a hefty amount of $ 1.25 million (equal to Rs 7.5 crore) for the zippy sports car.
The fastest series-produced road car has also registered its name in the Guinness World Record for reaching a top speed of 300 kmph from nil in just 13.63 seconds. Hennesey Venom GT is packed with a mighty 7.0 litre twin-turbo V8 powertrain that belts out a pinnacle power of 1,244 Bhp and a top torque of 1,565 Nm torque. Use of aluminium, carbon-fibre bodywork and light weight carbon-ceramic brakes in the sports car enables a magnificent power to weight ratio.
