In line with its expansion plans, Volkswagen opened its new outlet in Prabhadevi, Mumbai – Volkswagen Downtown Mumbai. The showroom is spread over an area of 2000 sq.ft that offers premium buying experience for its customers in the heart of the city.

We are confident that our partnerships will be major milestones for our expansion plans in India,” said Neeraj Garg, Member Of The Board & Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars.
Volkswagen is expanding its dealer network and the company now has 22 dealership outlets in the country, of which two are in Chennai. It plans to double its dealer network in India and intends to have at least 40 dealerships by the end of this year. "As a precursor to our high-volume model Polo, we are expanding our distribution network. By the end of this year the company will have 40 dealers," said Garg.
Volkswagen will roll out hatchback and sedan versions of Polo next year from its Rs.3,800-crore plant in Pune.
