The credit crisis has hit the auto factories hard but the market scenario seems to be improving for some. The recent sales figures have shown some encouraging figures to few auto makers. Toyota Kirloskar Motors is one such auto maker that is hopeful of recovering markets in the country. It plans to increase its vehicle production to full capacity in India in the next two months.

The company had cut down its production to 3500 unit per month in November 2008. It now intends to produce 3800 units in May 2009 and gradually increase its capacity to 5000 units by July this year.

Toyota also plans to launch two new models this year and expand its dealership network by adding 65 more dealers across the country. "On the basis of the market's performance last year, we cut our output, but since in the last four months the market is coming back on track, we will increase the production of our vehicles from May," TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.
