Toyota has achieved a sales landmark of one lakh units for the Fortuner brand in India. The SUV was first launched in 2009, after which its demand kept on increasing and has now achieved this new milestone.

Ever since its introduction in our country, the Toyota Fortuner became a favourite SUV of Indian buyers and within no time became the number one SUV in its segment. The carmaker recently launched the latest iteration of the SUV, which in turn also has got a good response. The new Fortuner raked in 6,000 booking orders within a short time from its launch. This year the demand has increased considerably as against its demand of the old Fortuner last year.

N. Raja, Director and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "Being able to serve more than one lakh happy customers in such a premium and competitive segment, is a huge achievement for us. This would not have been possible without the support of our customers who have appreciated the product so much."

The muscular and rugged looks backed by Toyota brand's reliability has made the Fortuner a huge success in the Indian market. The new-gen Fortuner also promises to follow the foot-print of its predecessor. In fact, offer much more value to customers.
