The new Lamborghini Aventador S has raised the bar in the performance car segment. In comparison to the regular Aventador, the new Aventador S offers improved aerodynamics and produces an additional 41bhp. Moreover, it gets a four-wheel-steering system with a front axle that gets the company’s dynamic steering setup while the rear gets two separate actuators with five-millisecond-quick adjustments that respond as per the driver’s steering input.
Lamborghini Aventador S is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 mated to a seven-speed gearbox generates a powerful 730bhp. The hypercar is capable of doing a 0 – 100kph is just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 349kph. The more aggressive front fascia claims to generate an additional 130 per cent down force on its nose, while the rear gets a three position wing which increases downforce up to 50 per cent. Moreover, it also claims to offer better handling in the most slippery condition by reducing the drag by 400 per cent.
The new Lamborghini Aventador S continues to be built around carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, but this time gets a revised pushrod and suspension setting for quicker response. The vehicle also offers three drive modes Strada (street driving), Sport and Corsa (race performance). Inside, the hypercar gets TFT digital dashboard, Apple CarPlay and option of adding telemetry system. The new Lamborghini Aventador S will be launched in UK market in 2017 while India launch might happen at a later date.
