The engine used to power this motorbike is a newly-designed 107 cc Micro-Chip Ignited-5 Curve (MCi-5), single-cylinder air-cooled, 4-stroke petrol unit. This robust mill has the capacity to generate a power output of around 7.5 bhp with peak torque of over 8.5 Nm. These figures are indeed small but owing to the overall lightweight and new chassis of the bike, it can accelerate from 0-60 kmph under 8.6 seconds. This engine is mated to the newly-developed 4-speed manual transmission with Shaft Drive technology. Furthermore, the compact mill also provides a mileage of a whopping 82 kmpl to the bike.
The anti-theft key provided with Mahindra Centuro is one of the most striking and appealing features of the bike. The central-locking key uses a highly-advanced 96-bit encryption to unlock this motorcycle. This anti-theft key is multifunctional, just like a normal car key, and also features the engine immobiliser. The find-me lamps are the most unique feature of this bike and can simply be operated through the click of a button on the key.
