The first vehicle coming up from the Tata Motors-JLR stable will be the X-type which will be priced under $40,000 in the overseas market and will compete with models like BMW 3-series and Mercedes C class. For now, Jaguar is pushing its recently redesigned XJ that will share its platform with next generation Jaguar XK model. Jaguar executives think it could boost the brand's global sales by as much as a half this year to 75,000 cars.

The new sports car is expected to be Jaguar XE that will go on sale by mid-2012 and will compete with Porsche Boxter. Next in queue is the Jaguar XF that will be on sale only by 2014 which will be available as a standard sedan model, long-wheelbase sedan variant for China and station wagon model for the European markets.
