Tata Motors has showcased the ConnectNext Concept at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. First unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo, the concept was developed to provide a completely new driving experience.

The ConnectNext concept features a spacious five-seat flexible layout with floating seats, which is mounted on the centre spine. The seats can be deformed to offer maximum flexibility. The car is equipped with features like electronic parking brake, steering single-linked active indicators, automatic transmission, infotainment system, navigation and a touch-enabled centre stack.

It is equipped with an occupant cooling system, and has a series of sensors placed all over the cabin to monitor location and the temperature. This system cuts down power consumption and freeing up space. It lacks B-pillar, which makes ingress and egress easy. The large glass house area offers an airy feel to the cabin.

The ConnectNext concept features various gadgets including rear projected touch centre stack, integrated co-driver display, rear projected instrument cluster, iPod-inspired click wheel driver and co-driver centre arm control. It also features heads-up display navigation system with guidance display and driver warning. There is a transparent screen with panoramic obstruction-free video streaming that also serves as a rear camera. For rear occupants, the car has integrated screens and wireless headphones. Other features include cloud connectivity, video conferencing, internal wireless hub for music, etc.
