      Suzuki Gixxer SF launched in India at Rs. 83,889

      The much-awaited, Suzuki Gixxer SF has been finally launched in the Indian two-wheeler market today. Priced at Rs. 83,889 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the Gixxer SF is basically a fully faired version of the regular Gixxer. The company claims that the bike features an aerodynamic sports fairing that offers MotoGP-inspired look. The front fairing is manufactured in the same tunnel, where company develops fairing for Hayabusa and MotoGP machines.

      The Suzuki Gixxer SF is powered by a 154.9cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing a top power output of 14.8PS at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000rpm. Power is transferred to roads via a five-speed gearbox.

      The fully faired Gixxer SF measures 2,050mm in length, 785mm in width, 1,085mm in height, and it comes with a large wheelbase of 1,085mm. The fuel tank capacity stands at 12-litre, while the ground clearance of 160mm is sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions. It weighs 139kg, making it 4kg heavier than the naked bike.

      The suspension system comprises of telescopic forks up front and 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The front wheels features single disc brakes, while the rear gets drum type brake. The bike is offered in three paint scheme - Pearl Mirage White, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Triton Blue. Features on offer are maintenance-free 12V, 3Ah battery, LED tail-lamps, full aerodynamic bike fairing, clear lens indicators, digital instrument console with gear shift & RPM indicator, aluminium muffler cover, and 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 100/80-17-Tubeless tyre upfront and 140/60R-17-Tubeless at the rear.
