Czech carmaker Skoda has launched a special fleet of Zeal Editions cars in India. The new special edition would be available in Rapid, Superb, Octavia and Yeti models. The Zeal Edition is stated to be a tribute to customers who share the company's constant enthusiasm and philosophy to 'Strive for more. Drive for more'. The company has always believed in pushing its boundaries and never settling for anything lesser. The new range shall feature a comprehensive accessory packages across three Rapid variants.
As part of fresh upgrades, the new variants across the Superb, Octavia and Yeti model range will sport premium black interiors which includes - black Alcantara leather seats, black dashboard and black door trims. The Skoda Rapid Zeal edition shall feature leatherette and Alcantara seats, navigation device with rear view camera, rear Parktronics, observation mirror and floor textile mats. However, these cars would be available for a limited period across all authorized dealership outlets in the country.
The carmaker had launched the new Rapid sedan sometime in the third quarter last year. The new trim is powered by 1.5-litre TDI motor that is capable of generating a power output of about 105 PS of power with about 150 Nm of torque. A similar engine has also been serving the Vento and Polo trims in the country. However, the petrol Rapid trim continues to be powered by existing 1.6-litre MPFI engine that is capable of generating about 105 bhp of power with 153 Nm of torque.
