      2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Facelift launches tomorrow

      Mercedes-Benz India is ready to introduce the facelift version of the B-Class on the 11th of March, 2015. This car was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2014 and marks the third launch of Mercedes-Benz in 2015 in India. It has been reported that the car will be launched as a CBU initially. However, the company is expected to expand its production facility at Chakan in Pune. After the expansion, the assembly of the new compact vehicles like A, B, CLA and GLA Class.

      The new 2015 B-Class model is now more similar to the line-up of the product portfolio as far as the design aspects are concerned. It has tweaked LED head lights, which are provided with integrated daytime-running headlights, a bold front grille and a new alloy design. It gets new ambient lighting with 12 colour options and an all-new 8-inch touchscreen. The interiors have been upgraded with carbon fibre finishes, updated upholstery and metal inserts.

      The mechanistic details of the model have been continued from the outgoing versions. The petrol variant runs on a 1.6-litre B180 mill, which generates 120 bhp and 200 Nm of maximum torque. The diesel model is powered by a 2.1-litre B200 CDI engine, which makes 107 bhp and 250 Nm peak torque output. Both the trims are mated with a 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission system
