      Skoda India posts a sales jump of 135% in December 2010

      The Indian unit of Czech car maker Skoda Auto has registered a growth of over 38% to 20,166 units in the calendar year 2010. This is the highest-ever year-on-year sales jump registered by the company since the starting of its operations in the Indian market. The launch of new Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti in the Indian market during this year worked as a sales booster for the company.

      Further, the company has posted massive growth of 135% in the last month of 2010 compared to December 2009 by selling 2617 units during the month. Skoda Auto has also achieved a milestone of rolling out the 100001st car from its Aurangabad plant, this year.
