      Shreyans Hall at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012 receives an astounding number of 200,000 visitors in 4 days

      The 11th edition of Delhi Auto Expo’s Shreyans Hall received an astonishing number of 200,000 guests and over 250 enquiries from potential buyers. It was amongst the most popular halls at the exhibition as luxury brands like Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), Ducati, Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche were showcased here.

      Ashish Chordia, Chairman, Shreyans, said, “It is heartening to see the overwhelming response of the visitors visiting our hall at the Auto Expo 2012. The response reaffirms our belief that there is huge enthusiasm and curiosity for our products making India an important market for all the brands we represent – BRP, Ducati, Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche.”

      Models that attracted the most number of visitors at the Shreyans Hall were Maserati Quattroporte, Ferrari California, Porsche Cayenne, Can Am Spyder and Ducati Monster 795.

      Ferrari California is a premium racing sports car, equipped for the first time with a V8 engine. This V8 engine is made completely of aluminium and is mid-front mounted ‘with a 90° angle between the two cylinder banks and a 180° angle between the cranks.’ The total displacement of the engine is 4,300 cc. Maximum power delivered by the car is 460 hp at 7,750 rpm. It has a power-to-weight ratio of 107 hp per litre and the torque is 485 Nm at 5,000 rpm with 75 per cent obtainable at 2,250 rpm. Ferrari California’s top speed is a whopping 310 kmph and takes lesser than 4 seconds to reach from 0 to 100 kmph. The car’s price range starts from Rs. 2.27 crores (ex-showroom).

      Ferrari’s most powerful and unique car till date, Ferrari FF was also displayed at the Shreyans Hall. It is a four-wheel drive, four seater car fitted with a V12 mid-front engine that generates 660 hp. The four-wheel drive has been incorporated for the first time in any Ferrari model. The price of the Ferrari FF will start from Rs. 3.42 crores (ex-showroom).

      The Maserati range at the Shreyans Hall included Maserati Quattroporte and Maserati GranCabrio. Quattroporte is an award winner for Maserati and is a powerful and a steady performer. This range of Maserati includes Quattroporte, Quattroporte S and Quattroporte Sport GT S. A 4.7 litre V8 engine is fitted in the Quattroporte range that delivers a power of 440 hp at 7000 rpm. The Quattroporte will carry a price tag starting from Rs. 1.2 crores (ex-showroom).

      Maserati GranCabrio declared as one of the world’s most beautiful cars by ‘motoring press’, has been extremely successful worldwide. It has either met or surpassed its sales target everywhere. The Maserati GranCabrio’s engine gives a maximum power output of 450 hp while a torque of 510 Nm. For the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph it takes about 5.2 seconds and its top speed is 285 kmph. It has six-speed automatic transmission incorporated with the super-fast MC Auto Shift software. The Maserati GranCabrio price starts from Rs. 1.43 crores (ex-showroom).

      Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP)’ Can Am Spyder, is a head turner and has become extremely popular since its launch in 2007. The Can Am roadster sport (RS) and touring (RT) have revolutionised the driving experience for powersports enthusiasts. A range of innovative technologies have been assimilated in the model providing a brand new driving experience. This model is the first BRP product to be showcased in India.

      Ducati, winner of 15 World Superbike Championship, 18 Riders’ titles and 16 Manufacturers’ titles, has manufactured the world most luxurious bikes. Ducati showcased its Diavel range, Multistrada range, Superbike range, and the Monster range. It also introduced its latest model on 6th January, made especially for the Asian buyers, the 2012 Ducati Monster 795 model.

      The Porsche Cayenne is one of the significant models for India that has 5 variants comprising one diesel version. It is a premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) that gives excellent performance along with comfort. The model that was displayed at the exhibition was Cayenne S Hybrid and its price starts from Rs. 76 lacs (ex-showroom).

      Porsche’s 911 Carrera, also showcased, is the most technologically advanced sports car. The Porsche engineers, their motto being ‘Better always works’, have always strived to deliver superior and enhanced versions of this model. The 911 has always had a strong fan following and never failed to meet customer expectations. Its price range begins from Rs. 1.1 crores.
