British automobile manufacturer Land Rover achieved a milestone at the Shanghai Motor Show as it went ahead to take the covers off its six-millionth production model. According to a report by Autocar, the model had rolled off from the manufacturer’s production facility located in Solihull, England, earlier in the month of April.

The much-famed car, Range Rover LWB Vogue SE, featured a Yulong White finish and its production culminated on April 2, 2015. A bespoke puddle lamp graphic has been fitted in this car in lieu of the usual silhouette of Range Rover, which is seen through puddle lamps. This effect has been pulled off using an inscribed lens, which is placed within the downlight mounted with a mirror.

Land Rover’s Range Rover LWB Vogue SE is likely to be a part of numerous events, which will be held in China. Incidentally, the year 2015 marks Range Rover’s 45th year of production. Out of the six million cars produced by Land Rover, over 900,000 have been Range Rover models, which show the kind of success it has achieved and managed to sustain.

Top officials from the Jaguar Land Rover group were present at the event and expressed their happiness at the development. Andy Goss, Sale Operations Director, said, “It’s fitting that the six millionth Land Rover to be produced is a Range Rover, since this year marks the 45th anniversary of the original Range Rover’s launch and even today, the vehicle remains peerless.

With the growth of sales in China since the latest version of the Range Rover was introduced in 2012, it is entirely appropriate that this landmark vehicle is destined for a Chinese customer," he said.
