Tata Nano has been a compact practical car that has been an ideal choice among urban commuters. In one-of-a-kind pact, Tata Motors has signed a deal with a popular car rental firm based in Delhi named Carzonrent to enable customers drive around in Tata Nano just for Rs. 399 per day. Carzonrent has also provided options to customers with different needs, a person who needs the vehicle for an hour may pay Rs. 99, whereas, the rent for an entire month would be Rs. 6,999.
Speaking more on the idea, Rajiv Vij, Managing Director and CEO, Carzonrent said, “This association with Tata Motors is a step forward on Carzonrent's endeavor to build long term partnerships with auto manufacturers to develop a dynamic ground mobility landscape in India.” Adding to this Deepankar Tiwari, Tata Motors Head Institutional Sales said, “Through this partnership we will reach out to a larger customer base and give them an opportunity to experience the Nano in a self drive avatar.”
Interested customers, can access about 200 units of Tata Nano across 43 locations in the NCR region. The company, Carzonrent started Myles (self drive) initiative last year and reportedly has about 600 vehicles for being handed out on rent. Speaking more on the Myles initiative, Rajiv Vij said, “We started this initiative last year with a fleet of 14 cars. Now the self drive vertical has 600 cars and we expect it to touch 5,000 units by 2016.”
