Indian superstar Rajinikanth surely seems to have a vintage taste with cars. Shivaji Rao Gaikwad alias Rajinikanth made his debut as an actor in the National Film Award-winning Tamil film Apoorva Raagangal in 1975 and has been globally renowned for his most unique style of acting. The Tollywood actor has been reportedly paid 260 million (US$4.2 million) for his role in 2007 movie named Sivaji – The Boss, reportedly this has made him the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan.

Apart from acting the star has also worked as a screenwriter and producer in recent past. In early 80's Rajinikanth had developed a strong liking for the Fiat Premier Padmini. Back then. this car was the best thing that money could buy. Premier had sought an official licence for mass scale production of Premier Padmini cars. It was then, when the actor Rajinikanth bought his first sedan a Fiat Premier Padmini in black shade. The car is said to be his priced poccesion till date. Other thean the Premier Padmini, the actor is also said to own an Ambassador, Honda City and Toyota Innova. The actor's taste rather seems to be a little outdated, but we completely agree that these cars are a complete value for money deal and neverthless are a good choice for everyday mode of commute.

The 1978 film Bairavi was the first Tamil film to cast Rajinikanth as a main hero. He also got the "Superstar" title through this film. By the end of the 1980s, he became a popular actor in the South Indian cinema. During this phase of his career, Rajinikanth abruptly chose to quit acting, but was coaxed back. He made a comeback with the Tamil film, which was a remake of the Bollywood film Don in 1978. The 1983 film Andha Kanoon was the first Bollywood film to feature this superstar along with other renowned stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini.
