Though Hero MotoCorp might be the global leader as far as the overall two-wheeler sales are concerned, the brand still has few scooters under its product line-up. Most of the best-selling models of this brand have been commuter motorcycles. Now Hero is also looking forward to bolster its segment of scooters. This comes at a time when India population has accepted scooters quite well and this segment is contributing majorly to the overall turnover. Incidentally, the year 2014 witnessed the launch of a number of scooters from different manufacturers that are doing quite well in the market.

The Delhi based manufacturer has currently only two models – Pleasure and the Maestro in its line-up of scooters. Now, it seems that a third member is all set to make a foray in the product line-up. There was a photo release online, which showed spy shots of this new model. This release has led to rumours that the brand is set to release a third scooter in the market.

Hero MotoCorp had earlier showcased a plethora of motorcycles and scooters at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. There were three concept scooters in this segment – the ZIR, Dare and Dash. These were rumoured to be launched in 2015. However, as far as the spy shots are concerned, it has become clear that the new model is none of the three concept scooters, which were shown in 2014. The new model integrates the blinkers within the headlamp console, which was a striking difference from the three models.

In place of trailing link unit, the new scooter gets telescopic suspension, which is not present in either of the two scooters from Hero. It is expected that this model will be placed as a premium scooter. The images show heavy camouflaging, thus, it was almost impossible to make out the intricate details. It is expected that the new model will also feature the Integrated Brake System of Hero. There are expectations that the new model will be launched by the middle of the year 2015.
