Porsche had organised a special drive event in Mumbai this weekend. Customers and motor journalists test drove the Cayenne and Macan to get a first-hand off-road experience.
An off-road track was specially built at the MMRDA grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex to put the off-road credentials of the SUVs to the test. This arena featured different challenges including gravel traps, deep mud terrains, hill climb and descent. This was basically done to replicate the conditions in which an SUV is required to face rough terrain.
Pavan Shetty, Director of Porsche India, said, "The on-road and track dominance of Porsche models is well known. With this special event, our aim is to draw attention to the extended capabilities of the brand’s SUV models. The Cayenne and Macan spread Porsche performance off-road and as expected deliver outstanding results. Although drivers may not always encounter tough terrain on their daily commute, we want to highlight a range of features and assistance systems that provide driveability and safety alongside the smooth performance our enthusiasts have come to expect of a Porsche."
We were present at the event and got a hands-on experience of how it is to drive these Porsche SUVs on the track. Do read our upcoming special feature - Porsche Adventure Trail 2016.
