Ford Motors in India took a surprising turn with no new launches but launched a revamped version of its existing models. Ford Endeavour and Fiesta were the models hitting the Indian roads this year. Endeavour was relaunched with minor changes; however the Fiesta was introduced with a whole new agenda in mind.

The 2014 version of Ford Endeavour comes with a minor facelift and some noticeable changes at the exteriors. The front bumper, being the most prominent change, has made Endeavour look more robust and powerful. Fog lamp inserts in the bumper are the most significant change. The headlamps have also been slightly modified with the dark tint on top removed. Ford also claims that the alloy wheels are new; however there aren’t any significant changes there. The changes at the interiors are very easy to miss with minor trims here and there. The specification has not been changed, and 2014 Ford Endeavour still runs on 2.5-liter diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 3.0-liter with a 5-speed automatic transmission powering its predecessor. It is evident that this move by Ford was simply to boost the sales of Endeavour in the Indian auto market.

The launch of Fiesta was riddled with a lot of changes as Ford wants to make it a more up-market vehicle this time. The prices have come down a little bit compared to the discontinued predecessor. Delving into the details, Fiesta gets a whole new grille and a revised bumper with fog lamps in them. The rear too gets a new bumper with an entirely new design and detailing on the tail lights. The side profile, however, remains unchanged. There are a few minor updates inside the cabin too with a black-beige dashboard and a glossy black console. Powering this new car is a 1.5-liter diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 90 bhp. There is also a claim by Ford that the new Fiesta promises better mileage of 25.1 kmpl. Let’s hope that with all the new trims Ford has given to the Endeavour and Fiesta, the year 2015 shines bright upon all of them.
