We reported that Roll Royce will launch the facelift Ghost super luxury car in the Indian car market in November. Now, it is confirmed that the facelifted model of the highly successful Ghost luxury car will launch on November 7, 2014 in India. Named as Ghost Series II, the updated model comes with some noticeable changes to both exteriors and interiors. The Ghost is the least priced and highly successful car in Roll Royce’s luxury portfolio of India.
The Ghost Series II gets slightly modified front fascia with restyled LED headlamps, new bumpers, reflectors and large air intakes. The side profile remains largely unchanged; however, the company has given some tweaks to alloys. The rear profile of the super luxury car features new bumper and slightly modified tail lamps. The interiors of the car get subtle changes to seat upholstery. It also gets an updated infotainment system.
Under the bonnet, the Ghost Series II gets the same 6.6-litre V12 motor with twin turbocharger that is capable of producing a top power output of 563bhp and 780Nm of peak torque available at 1,500rpm. The engine is paired to the same 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox that is carried over from the previous model. The other changes include new rear axle bearings, new struts and wheel dampers to offer better NVH levels and improved driving dynamics.
