The well known Japanese auto maker, Nissan Motor is all set to introduce the facelift model of its iconic Micra hatchback in the Indian auto market on July 3, 2013. It must be noted that a few months back, the reworked model of Micra made its international debut in Thailand. Sources close to the development process revealed that the model which was introduced in the auto market of UK will be brought to the Indian shores. Of late, the official Facebook page of Nissan India stated that the facelift Micra hatchback will be introduced in the domestic auto market very soon.
Coming to the key highlights of the upcoming model, main attention has been paid to the head lamps and front grille, which now has a circular moniker with chrome work. Along with, bonnet and front as well as rear bumpers of the upcoming hatchback have been also revised. Industry experts are of a view that the new model will feature a more aggressive and dynamic designing language than never before. Speculations are taking the rounds that the new generation Micra will be offered with a new colour option, named 'Pacific Blue', which is sure to lure the domestic buyers.
It must be noted that the new model will be offered with two engine options, namely a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5-litre K9K oil burner. Both of these engines are performance oriented and are expected to set new standards in the hatchback segment of the Indian auto industry. Moreover, the interiors of upcoming Micra have also received few changes. The centre console of the model has been changed with new finishing touches.
Also, upcoming Micra will be equipped with an all-new communication system with advanced touch screen navigation system. Other key highlights of the model will be key less entry, push start/stop, steering mounted audio controls, electrically folding side mirrors, alloy wheels, parking camera at rear, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Bluetooth connectivity.
