What you see in the pictures is the 2018 Jeep Wrangler caught testing with the rear portion revealing some details of the styling. While the tail lamps on this prototype are visible, reports state that this may not be the final production design. That’s because information leaked earlier describes the tail lights to be outlined by LEDs which is definitely not what’s seen here.

Sources also report that the hinged rear windscreen suggeststhat the glass portion can be opened separately from the sideways opening boot-lid. This would allow multiple access points to the boot section according to the user’s requirement. It is rumoured that the upcoming Jeep Wrangler will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.6-litre V6 petrol motor. Both of which will be mated to automatic transmissions, but the V6 may also be offered with a manual gearbox.

The new four-door Wrangler is expected to be available with a number of roof configurations, like a hard top, soft top, and a model with removable panels for an open-air experience (was spied earlier). Jeep is expected to debut the 2018 Wrangler at this year’sLos Angeles Auto Show on 1 December.
