Based on the new MLB architecture, the new Audi Q7 features the same silhouette that the outgoing model has. The new SUV is around 325kg lighter than the previous model, which helps achieve high efficiency and performance. The new Q7 SUV measures 5.05 metre in length, 1.95 meters in width and 1.74 meters in height, and it comes with a large wheelbase of 2.99 meters. The 2016 Audi Q7 features sharp edges and aggressive curves, and it looks less bulky than the current model. The front features Audi's Singleframe grille, flanked by a redesigned Matrix LED headlamps. At the rear, the SUV has squared-shaped tail lamps inspired from other Audi cars like A6 and A8 saloons.

The new-generation Audi Q7 will come in both 3.0-litre petrol and diesel fuel options in our market. While the petrol unit is capable of producing 333bhp of power and 440Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 272bhp of power and 600Nm of torque. According to Audi, the diesel engine is 26 per cent more fuel efficient, while the petrol unit offers 23 per cent more fuel efficiency than the outgoing model. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels of the car. In international markets, the vehicle also gets a new 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that produces 249bhp of power and 370Nm of torque.
