Skoda India, the completely owned division of Volkswagen Group, has introduced an enticing Holiday offer on its Rapid sedan, which is sure to gather the attention of Indian audience. Under the new offer, the Skoda Finance Private Limited is offering its potential buyers a chance to purchase a Rapid now and pay its Equated Monthly Instalments (EMI) a year after the purchase date. With this new programme, buyers can now own the mid size sedan without worrying for the EMI of the model from the very first year. Thereafter, customers can pay the balance amount through the unique repayment options offered by the Czech auto maker.
However, it must be noted that this offer is valid for the limited period. Expressing his views on this move of auto company, the Marketing Head of Skoda Auto India, Kamal Basu, was quoted as saying, “Keeping in mind the prevailing market sentiments, we have introduced this innovative scheme for consumers. This offer gives them a great opportunity to own a ŠKODA Rapid, with a convenient re- payment option which is offered to suit their convenience.”
On this offer, industry experts are of a view that it is no surprise that the Indian auto industry is witnessing not so good times and therefore, several auto makers are now coming up with innovative plans to leave no stone unturned in order to increase their market share and boost volumes. Interestingly, another news came of late that Torque Auto, a well acclaimed authorised distributor of Skoda India, in Gujarat is offering a Fabia hatchback for free on purchase of Rapid sedan.
However, the catch was that the dealer was offering the model five years after the purchase of Rapid. On this, auto analysts said that although the offer is quite enthralling, certain points needs to be kept in mind. It must be noted that this offer was limited to the jurisdiction of just single dealership, Torque Auto, and had nothing to do with the Skoda India.
