Bajaj officially announced that it will launch the new Bajaj XCD Sprint 135cc on January 21 2009. The new XCD Sprint will come with the 135cc engine and not 150cc or 125cc engine as speculated earlier. It will have the same 135cc engine that currently marks its presence in Bajaj Discover 135cc. However, it will come at a premium over Bajaj Discover and will be slated against Honda CBF Stunner.
The distinct styling of the XCD Sprint and loaded features makes it a promising bike for Bajaj. The monster lookalike front fairing, chrome tipped tank scoops, LED Tail lamps and horn like grab rail makes the XCD sprint one of the stylish bikes ever built by Bajaj. The new Bajaj XCD Sprint will sport Auto choke, Gas filled Nitrox shock absorbers, revamped digital console, LED tail lamp, Optional electric start, Optional disc brake, etc.
“Bajaj Auto has a very strong position in the entry segment and the premium segment of the motorcycle market. With the launch of the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si and two more new products in April and July, we aim to garner a strong position in the value segment,” Bajaj Auto general manager Amit Nandi said.
