Bentley has launched a brand new completely refurbished model Continental GT in the overseas market. The model is imported and sold in the Indian market as completely built unit. The Indian buyers can await the new 2011 model which now comes with distinctive headlamps, xenon powered inner lamps on low beam and LED on high beam. The rear fenders hint a wider track with more pronounced rear fenders.
The new Bentley comes with more pronounced body work, new cabin tech and also with choice of engines. The Continental GT still comes with the same twin-turbocharged 12-cylinder engine as the previous generation, although power has been increased to 567 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This engine can now be fueled with E85 or even regular unleaded gasoline. Next year, Bentley will make a more economical 4-liter V-8 available for the Continental GT.
“In 2003 we designed a car like no other – a striking, luxury GT coupe combining the craftsmanship and refinement Bentley is renowned for with a purposeful, sporting road presence. Now we’ve taken the opportunity to write a new chapter for the Continental,” said Bentley’s Design Director Dirk van Braeckel. The new model will be available in the market by March 2011.
