Sporting the front wheel drive UKL architecture, new Mini will become the first vehicle from the stables of BMW to use front wheel drive UKL architecture.

Measuring 3821 mm long, 1727 mm wide and 1415 mm high, 2014 Mini is larger than the current three-door Mini Cooper.

Europe spec model of Mini features a 1,5 litre, three cylinder, petrol and diesel engines. Cooper S and SD are employed with a 2.0 litre, four cylinder petrol and diesel powertrains respectively. A 1.2 litre, three cylinder version is also offered by BMW that delivers enhanced fuel economy. As for the Indian market, despite offering higher fuel economy, the company might not house the 1.2 litre, three cylinder engine in 2014 Mini.
