2012 Toyota Camry, the much awaited car in the Indian market that has already been unveiled in the US market, is expected to be displayed at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo in January 2012. The new age Camry is better in performance with high fuel economy and improved acceleration and pick-up characteristics.

Powered by a 2.5 litre four cylinder dual VVT-i petrol engine, the new Toyota Camry model will be delivering a peak power of 180 Bhp along with a peak torque of 231 Nm. It is expected that the five speed manual transmission gearbox of the previous generation model of the car will now be replaced with an all new six speed automatic transmission.

New age Camry has been made more spacious with larger leg room, although the wheel base is exactly same as before. Moreover, the interior styling and designing has been improved as compared to earlier model.

The launch of new age Camry will certainly strengthen the position of this series against the rivals like Honda Accord and Nissan Teana. However, lack of a diesel variant will continue to be a drawback for this car in the Indian market. Following its showcase at the expo in January, the new age Camry, is expected to debut in the Indian market by the end of first quarter of year 2012.
