Hyundai, the South Korean automaker, will launch the much-anticipated ix25 compact SUV in China onOctober 9. This model is rumoured to be coming to India as well, though there is no official confirmation on this.
If reports are to believed, the Hyundai ix25 compact SUV is likely to be offered in seven variants with two petrol engine options. The base spec models are likely to get a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder motor, while the top-spec models will be powered by a 2.0-litre unit. An automatic transmission gearbox will be offered with the base spec 1.6-litre engine.
The Hyundai ix25 compact SUV will also be offered in a 4WD version. The 4WD version will only be made available with a 2.0-litre petrol motor. Talking about the interiors, the ix25 features a multifunctional steering wheel with controls for audio system. The vehicle seems sharing its styling cues with its bigger sibling- the Santa Fe. This model sports automatic air conditioning, integrated music system and horizontally shaped AC vents surrounded by silver accents.
This model will compete against the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Mahindra Scorpio in India. The China-spec model is likely to be priced in the range of 129,800-189,800 CNY (Rs. 12.56-18.36 lakh)
