Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is leaving no stone unturned in its attempt to grab a major portion of the market share from its competitors. In its most recent update, the company has launched a unique Mobile Van Service initiative, which will target mainly the rural regions. Unlike the traditional service van, this all-new thing will feature a Service Van, which will combine a service and dealership outlet in a mobile format. This will definitely play a pivotal role in the company's attempt to reach its rural customers.

The mobile van is quite spacious, which is enough for displaying a full-fledged two-wheeler, a LED display for showing the vital features with clarity and a seating space for the customers. It will also encourage potential riders to go for test rides. The van has been provided with two service bays, which will function as the regular centres for service operations. The company is also planning to train locals who will be able to handle the technicalities of the mobile van. The brand will aim forward towards launching 11 mobile vans by the end of the running year.

The CEO and President of HMSI was present for a comment on the new endeavour. He said, "As the only Honda, we are expanding our network into hinterlands. In fact 70 per cent of the approximately 1,000 touch-points that we aim to add this year will be in rural areas. The new Mobile Service Van (MSV) is designed to take Honda one step ahead of even where the reach of its last touch-point ends."
