      Mitsubishi unveils 2015 Lancer Evolution sedan

      Mitsubishi has unveiled 2015 Lancer Evolution sedan sporting insignificant changes. The Japanese auto giant has confirmed termination of sedan’s production in most of the automotive markets across the globe, but it will continue to be offered in United States. The US auto market will get latest edition of Lancer that has been conferred with a handful of tweaks. Among the new additions, reworked side mirrors with integrated turn signal and a new cup holder are included. The new lancer Evolution will be made available in two trims-GSR and MR.

      Equipments being offered as standard provisions on the new Lancer Evo include, FUSE Hands-Free Link System- this feature enables the passengers to wirelessly connect to their cell phone via Bluetooth. iPod and USB drive can also be used via voice commands, automatic climate control, leather wrapped sport steering with cruise and audio mounted controls and aerodynamically-enhancing rear diffuser are some of the other standard features proffered on the saloon. On the other hand pronounced rear deck lid spoiler is being offered as standard on GSR model and lower-profile rear lip spoiler comes equipped as standard on MR trim.

      Mitsubishi is offering a new premium package on the 2015 Lancer Evo GSR that comprises of prominent features like sight and sound package, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a power sunroof and sound deadening material etc.

      High end version, ‘MR’ in the 2015 Mitsubishi Evo range will offer additional features including automatic headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, color-keyed heat extractor vents and additional chrome trim. Besides this, the trim has also been equipped with auto dimming rear view mirror, additional sound deadening material, nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system. The saloon also has a passive entry system for the passengers.

      Power is supplied to the wheels through a 2.0 litre four cylinder engine that pumps out a maximum power output of 291 Bhp along with a peak torque of 406 Nm. A five-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission have been put on offer. An all wheel-drive system has also been put on offing.
