Mitsubishi will recall some of the Outlander Sports crossovers produced in 2013 owing to concern over airbag warning. The Japanese car maker made an official announcement regarding the same which said that some of the units of Outlander produced in 2013 were wired incorrectly when leather seat covers were installed, enabling the seat height adjuster to harm the cables. In this scenario, if wiring gets severed, drivers can see a warning light and the driver side seat-mounted airbag might not deploy unless it is mended.

Prior to this, in July 2013 too, the company had recalled Outlander crossover for several issues like braking, signals and steering. Mitsubishi claims that no serious injuries or any untoward incident has been reported yet. As a part of the preventive measure the company is conducting this recall so that it can fix the glitch.
