Volkswagen will exhibit the new models of Polo hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show which will commence from March 4th, 2014. The new models of Polo to be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show include Polo TSI BlueMotion, Polo TDI BlueMotion, Polo BlueGT and CrossPolo. Apart from this the company will also showcase the newly developed EU-6 engine and new infotainment and assistance system. The company also plans to unveil the new R-Line exterior and interior packages for the Polo hatchback.
Polo BlueMotion which was earlier offered only with turbo-diesel engine is now also being proffered with a turbocharged petrol engine. Volkswagen has featured the new three cylinder motor for the first time in its car.
Polo BlueMotion TSI promises a whopping fuel economy of 24 kilometers in a litre which is excellent for a petrol powered car. Polo TDI BlueMotion has a capacity to seat five adults comfortably inside the cabin. The three cylinder diesel engine powering the hatch effortlessly engenders a maximum power output of 75 PS and offers a staggering mileage of 32 kmpl.
Polo BlueGT on the hand comes with a cylinder shut-off (active cylinder management), that proffers an excellent performance and generates an increased power of 150 PS in comparison to the 140 PS which was produced earlier.
CrossPolo variant will appeal to those who appreciate individual off-road appearance along with maintaining harmony with the on-road quality. CrossPolo will be available in four door body style; new colours have been added along with other exterior changes like new smoked rear lights and new kind of wheel.
The Polo R-Line packages that we mentioned in the beginning are being offered on Polo Comfortline and Polo Highline equipment variants only. R-Line features are being offered in the form of exterior and interior packages like sports seats, steering wheels and bumpers.
