Mercedes-Benz will expand its cabriolet range in India by launching the C-Class cabriolet and S-Class cabriolet on November 9. The C-Class will arrive in the C300 variant while the latter will be the S500 model.

      Mercedes-Benz S-Class cabriolet

The C-Class C300 cabriolet gets an electric folding soft top which can go up and down in 30 seconds at speeds of up to 50kmph. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-charged engine that produces 241bhp and 370Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 9G-tronic gearbox. It will get the same features as the C-Class sedan with the addition of the AIRCAP and AIRSCARF technologies both of which are expected to aid in being able to use the car all year round.

      Mercedes-Benz C-Class cabriolet

The S-Class cabriolet is the more expensive one and is powered by a thumping big 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 442bhp/700Nm of torque with power going to the rear wheels via a 9G-tronic gearbox. It gets styling similar to that of the S-Class Coupe and has the longest soft-top that the German automaker has fitted to any of its cars. This can be raised or folded down in 20 seconds at speeds of up to 60kmph. This car gets all the features of the coupe but with all the additions to make it an excellent open top experience. Both cars will be brought into the country via the CBU route and are expected to be priced significantly higher than the standard models.
