      Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 launched at Rs 77.5 lakh

      German automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG SLC 43 in India for Rs 77.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The roadster comes as a replacement to the older SLK 55 AMG. The car comes with new-age style upgrades and gets a new engine under the hood. The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 competes with the likes of the BMW Z4 and the upcoming Porsche 718 Boxster.

      The newly launched Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine which generates about 361bhp of power and 500Nm of torque. Mated to a new nine-speed automatic gearbox, the vehicle is capable of doing a 0 – 100kmph in just about 4.7 seconds. The roadster’s top speed is electronically restricted to 250kmph. The new engine though undergoes a massive downsizing but impresses with better fuel efficiency figures and ample power.

       

      As for safety, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 gets all the modern safety features. Much like the international market, the roadster is offered with several 18-inch alloy/tyre combinations, intelligent LED headlights, COMAND infotainment and communication system, premium leather upholstery and a Harman Kardon surround sound system. The roadster is offered with ambient lighting in shades of polar blue, solar red and polar white.
